Gale Langley

The scribbleprint style Gale uses started as doodlings to pass the time in high school. In recent years they have taken on a new form...as she combines the pen and ink scribblings with computer graphics editing to create unique works of art.

"I enjoy art forms that are not totally under my control. My Scribbleprints originally were completely formless and random--later I started to give them shapes, but the outer outline is still basically made from scribbles, which require a loose hand that is not entirely controlled. For instance, in my design "Pierced," I had planned the design to be a cross, but that the undulations in the cross suggest the shape of a body--that was an unexpected gift."

Gale Langley is a mother of two young boys, and spends time on her art in her art when they let her.

Michael Thompson

I have recently begun looking for representation for my artwork, and new venue at which to show.  I was hoping that you would be kind enough to view a small preview of my work (a link to which I have included in this note).  Perhaps you would be interested in helping me with representation.  I have had three shows in the Toronto area this season, two of which are currently running:  Steam Whistle Brewery (Toronto), and Cantine Bistro (Avenue Road, Toronto) both Sept 5 – Sept 28. Any feedback and comments are very welcome.

Thank you for any help or interest you can provide, this is a link to view and on-line collection of my work http://www.flickr.com/photos/mjthompsonart
